Policy

Privacy Policy

Effective date: 25 November 2025. Plurgo is committed to protecting the personal and business information entrusted to us by South African professionals.

1. Overview

Plurgo helps South African businesses send professional quotes, invoices, and recurring billing schedules. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use our websites, dashboard, APIs, and mobile experiences (collectively, the “Services”).

By accessing the Services, you agree to the terms described here. If you do not agree, please discontinue use. We may update this policy periodically and will indicate the date of the latest revision.

2. Information we collect

Account information: name, email address, company details, billing information, logo assets, and custom branding data.

Business records: clients, quotes, invoices, line items, recurring schedules, payment reminders, and related attachments you upload.

Usage information: device details, browser, IP address, referring/exit pages, pages viewed, and interactions captured through analytics to improve product performance.

Support information: content from support tickets, chat transcripts, and issue descriptions you share with our team.

3. How we use information

Provide and maintain the Services, including generating documents, calculating taxes, and sending reminders.

Personalize dashboards, templates, and recommendations so that branding and pricing tools match your industry.

Improve reliability and security by monitoring performance and preventing abuse or unauthorized access.

Communicate with you about product updates, billing, and onboarding. Marketing emails include an unsubscribe link.

Comply with legal obligations, respond to lawful requests, and enforce our Terms of Service.

4. Sharing and disclosure

Vendors and processors: We partner with South African and international infrastructure providers for hosting, analytics, payment processing, and customer support. Vendors only receive the information necessary to perform contracted services and must protect it following industry standards.

Business transfers: If Plurgo is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, information may be transferred, subject to existing confidentiality obligations.

Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Plurgo, our users, or the public.

Aggregated insights: We may publish anonymized usage trends (e.g., average time to get paid) that cannot identify any customer.

5. Data retention and security

Data is hosted in secure South African data centers with encrypted connections (TLS) and daily backups. Access to production systems is limited to vetted team members using role-based controls and multi-factor authentication.

We retain account data while your subscription remains active. When you cancel, documents and settings are archived for 90 days in case you reactivate, then deleted or anonymized unless law requires longer retention.

You are responsible for safeguarding login credentials and ensuring team members have appropriate permissions.

6. Your rights

Access and update: You can view or edit company, billing, and branding settings directly from the dashboard.

Export: Download quotes, invoices, and client lists as PDF or CSV at any time. Contact support for a full data export in machine-readable format.

Deletion: Request complete removal of your account by emailing support. We will confirm once anonymization or deletion is complete, subject to regulatory retention requirements.

Preferences: Opt out of marketing communications through email footer links or profile settings. Transactional notices (billing, service updates) will continue.

7. Children’s privacy

Plurgo is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we learn that data from a child has been submitted, we will delete it promptly.

8. International data transfers

While core infrastructure is located in South Africa, certain processors may store or access data in other jurisdictions. We ensure appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) are in place to protect your information whenever it is transferred across borders.

9. Contact us
